This Privacy Policy explains how Rankovators (“we,” “us,” “our”), a business operating from Pakistan, collects, uses, and protects information in connection with rankovators.com and our desktop applications RankoWriter and RankoPins, including any related tools we distribute under the Rankovators name (collectively, “the Software”).

By purchasing, downloading, installing, or using the Software, or by using this website, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information you provide directly

  • Name and email address (at purchase/checkout and account creation)
  • Billing and payment details (processed by our third-party payment processor — see Section 4; we do not store full card numbers)
  • License key and account credentials
  • Any information you submit through support requests, emails, or contact forms
  • WordPress site URLs and application passwords/API credentials you enter into the Software to enable publishing (see Section 3)
  • Amazon Associate/affiliate tag and any API credentials you configure within the Software for product research features
  • Pinterest: RankoPins uses Pinterest’s official OAuth login to publish Pins on your behalf. We do not collect or store your Pinterest username or password; Pinterest issues an access token directly to the Software, which is stored locally on your device. Where you instead use the browser extension/bookmarklet “Quick Post” method, no Pinterest credentials or tokens are transmitted to or stored by us at all — it relies on your existing logged-in browser session on your own device.
  • Any third-party AI API keys (e.g., OpenAI, Google Gemini, Anthropic) you choose to enter into RankoPins to generate Pin titles, descriptions, alt text, or image prompts. These keys are stored locally on your device and used only to make requests directly from your device to the provider you selected.

1.2 Information collected automatically

  • Device/machine identifier: a hardware fingerprint or machine ID generated on your computer is transmitted to our licensing server to activate, validate, and lock your license to a single device (see Section 6 and the Terms of Service).
  • License usage data: activation status, activation date, last-check-in date, software version, and operating system, used to enforce license terms and provide updates.
  • Basic website analytics: standard web analytics (pages visited, browser type, referring site, approximate location from IP) when you visit rankovators.com.

1.3 Information we do not collect

We do not access, read, or store the content of your WordPress posts, your website’s database, or your Amazon account activity beyond what is strictly necessary to run the features you actively trigger inside the Software. Credentials you enter for WordPress or third-party APIs are stored locally on your device by the Software, not on our servers, unless a specific feature explicitly states otherwise at the time you enable it.

2. How We Use Information

We use the information collected to:

  • Provision, activate, and validate your license
  • Process payments and manage subscriptions/renewals
  • Provide customer support and respond to inquiries
  • Send license, billing, and product-related communications (activation confirmations, renewal reminders, critical update notices)
  • Send optional marketing communications, which you may opt out of at any time
  • Detect and prevent license misuse, fraud, piracy, or violations of our Terms of Service
  • Improve and maintain the Software and website
  • Comply with legal obligations

3. Third-Party Services and Data Processors

The Software integrates with, or sends data to, the following categories of third-party services at your direction and using credentials you supply:

  • WordPress sites you connect, for the purpose of publishing content you generate
  • Amazon (via public product data/APIs), for product research features
  • Pinterest, via official OAuth, for publishing Pins generated by RankoPins on your behalf
  • AI/content generation infrastructure, including a Cloudflare Workers AI-based image generation proxy, and, where you supply your own API key, OpenAI, Google Gemini, and/or Anthropic, used to generate images, prompts, titles, descriptions, and alt text within the Software
  • Payment processors (e.g., JazzCash, local Pakistani Banks, etc.]) to handle purchases and subscription billing
  • Email delivery providers, to send transactional and support communications

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not share your WordPress or Amazon credentials with anyone; they remain under your control on your local device.

4. Payment Information

All payments are processed by our third-party payment processor. We do not store your full credit card, debit card, or bank account numbers on our own servers. Please refer to your payment processor’s own privacy policy for details on how they handle your payment data.

5. Cookies

rankovators.com may use cookies and similar technologies for essential site functionality, login sessions, and basic analytics. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling them may affect certain site functions (such as staying logged in to your account portal).

6. Device Locking and License Enforcement Data

Because each license is issued for use on a single PC/laptop only (see our Terms of Service), the Software transmits a machine identifier to our licensing servers at activation and periodically thereafter to confirm your license remains valid on that device. This data is used solely for license enforcement, fraud prevention, and support purposes, and is retained for as long as your license/account remains active plus a reasonable period afterward for records and dispute handling.

7. Data Retention

We retain personal and license data for as long as necessary to:

  • Provide the Software and related services to you
  • Maintain records required for tax, accounting, and legal purposes
  • Resolve disputes and enforce our agreements

Upon account deletion request, we will delete or anonymize personal data not otherwise required to be retained by law or for legitimate business records (such as fraud/piracy prevention logs).

8. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your personal data (subject to Section 7)
  • Object to or restrict certain processing
  • Data portability

9. Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials and license key confidential.

10. Children’s Privacy

The Software and this website are not directed at individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors.

11. International Data Transfers

Rankovators is based in Pakistan. Depending on where you are located, your information may be processed and stored outside your own country, including in Pakistan and in other countries where our servers, payment processors, or third-party service providers (e.g., WordPress, Amazon, Pinterest, Cloudflare, OpenAI, Google, Anthropic) are located. By using the Software or this website, you consent to such transfers.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date. Continued use of the Software or website after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
